At Echo Analytics, we work with companies from all over the world. We create, combine, and convert thousands of public and private datasets into meaningful geospatial insights and provide the most accurate commercial Point of Interest (POI) product and mobility insights available in Europe.
What do we do?
We provide companies with fuel to power their products with high-quality geospatial-based datasets. We use data science, machine learning, and human feedback to build the most comprehensive geospatial datasets and insights available in Europe and rapidly expanding.
Echo partners with companies from multiple industries such as retail, mobility, smart cities, real estate, advertising, market research, and financial services.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a forward-thinking and results-driven Learning & Development Specialist who is keen to join our expanding People & Culture Team in order to help us scale our L&D efforts in support of our ongoing business growth.
The opportunity
As a Learning & Development Specialist at Echo, you’ll be joining our trend-setting People & Culture team and become a strategic business partner in all things Learning-related.
This is a unique opportunity to join and help grow a successful start-up market leader from its early stages. You’ll be able to work on an exciting variety of Talent Assessment, L&D Initiatives, Curriculum Design, Learning Delivery and EdTech projects in close partnership with our brand-new VP People & Culture, while contributing to the inception, creation and development of one of the most progressive and world-class People Teams in the world The sky’s the limit, so your role will have a huge impact on the company from day one.
Your Role at Echo
We’re currently scaling the team and hiring talent to grow faster. In that context, you will be responsible for ensuring that our workforce is equipped with the right hard and soft skills to be successful in their roles. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Conducting annual training and development needs assessment in order to help us build our competency development model.
- Creating the scalable People Development strategy and KPIs for all relevant job families in line with the overall People Strategy.
- Dashboarding L&D analytics against main programs.
- Developing in-house training, learning programs and objectives for all employee levels, including individual contributors, team leads, managers and leaders with the support of our VP People.
- Identifying opportunities for learning automation, including leveraging our Udemy learning tool.
- Creating effective training materials using a variety of media.
- Training and coaching managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts with the support of our Human Resources team.
- Facilitating L&D events.
- Developing and maintaining organisational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
- Administering spending against the departmental budget.
- Conducting follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Evolving and iterating learning and talent programs as needed.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a driven and well-rounded Learning & Development professional to both contribute their expertise to our expanding organisation while developing new skills under the professional supervision of top-notch leaders in the tech industry.
**Requirements**:
For this exciting role, we’re looking for an exceptional L&D Specialist with a strong track record in the diverse and multi-faceted domains of Talent Development. We’re particularly interested in connecting with L&D Specialists with backgrounds including the below:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a Learning & Development or Talent Development role leading both program design and delivery for multiple audiences ;
- You have worked in a fast-growing international environment ;
- You have a deep understanding of the challenges a start-up tech organisation typically faces ;
- You are an expert in workplace education and employee development;
- You are highly organised and able to multitask efficiently ;
- You are both a great communicator and an active listener ;
- You are service-oriented towards your client groups ;
- You are data-driven and have the ability to navigate complexity in collaborative ways ;
- You are fluent in both English and French; additional languages, a plus ;
- You have a growth mindset.
