**OPERATIONAL SKILLS & RESPONSABILITIES**:
- Provide accurate interpretations of applicable import and export regulations to relevant stakeholders. Must have strong writing and organizational skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization to achieve business goals.
- Identify, investigate, and review compliance aspects of any export/import activity with the Global Trade Compliance and OPS Teams
- Conducts internal audits, generates reports/metrics and leads export/import improvement initiatives
- Support the compliant and efficient movement of products and services into/out of France/EU.
- Responsible to submit the required compliance reports and filings to comply with Export License requirements and import regulations.
- Manage Fortinet customs brokers to ensure compliance with applicable export/import regulations. Conduct a quarterly business review with Customs Brokers and Service providers to track export/import-related performance and compliance of Fortinet shipments.
- Manage the Recordkeeping compliance process for the Export and Import of RMA/ITF transactions in France/EU.
- Provide support and guidance to customers and outside functional groups for export and import compliance issues
- Responsible for implementing, updating and maintaining export and import control policies and procedures to comply with EU export/import regulations
- Lead or participate in inter-functional projects relating to trade compliance
- Provide support for import procurement processes (i.e. import classification, country of origin, valuation, etc. for shipments imported/exported in France/EU)
- Manage the import procurement processes to ensure shipments are cleared in compliance with applicable customs rulings (i.e. import classification, country of origin, valuation, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong relationship and people skills required
**SYSTEMS AND TOOLS**:
- Significant experience and skills in global trade management systems, preferably Oracle GTM
**TRAINING AND AUDIT**:
- Assist in maintaining records related to Fortinet’s global trade compliance programs
- Responsible for leading the recurrent training to cross-functional teams in France
- Ensure Fortinet maintains its records relating to international transactions according to law
- Perform export and import internal audits and provide results to Fortinet Global Trade Compliance
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Customs Broker License a plus
- Team player who has excellent people skills required, and who is efficient in getting the job done right, in timely manner and properly respectful of others’ time
