Overview

Mastercard Cross-Border Services department is looking for a Product Operations Engineer.

Cross-Border Services helps banks, digital providers, and non-bank financial institutions modernize their Cross-Border payment services to provide senders (consumers and businesses) with faster, more transparent, and more secure payments through multiple channels and payout methods. Cross-Border Services specializes in use cases including P2P (remittances), B2P (disbursements), and B2B (business payments) and supports a variety of payout options including bank accounts, mobile money accounts, consumer cards, and retail cash pick-up.

Mastercard’s Cross Border Services Customer Configuration team is a customer focused organization that is responsible for ensuring excellence in service delivery to our customers, partnering with many internal stakeholders, and maintaining quality operations for the best possible customer experience.

Role
- Support & lead global customer reconfiguration initiatives (requested by Global Product management, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Network Commercialization team) for XBS PRO business line.
- Manages implementation projects and/or initiatives as an individual contributor with advanced knowledge of the discipline; is typically engaged in larger/more complex initiatives.
- Configure & lead implementation processes for new Customers and corridor expansions for XBS PRO (HS direct send API & Mastercard API).
- Takes the lead as the primary interface between the customer and Mastercard during technical implementations.
- Holds frequent discussions with customers to unearth under-the-surface needs and translates them into implementation activities.
- Prepare & support the internal testing teams to test new product features for XBS PRO in MTF and Production environments.
- Provide on a regular basis feedback to the involved project stakeholders.
- Prepare and perform mass updates for Live Customers (parameter changes).
- Participate in technical Q&A sessions with other Mastercard teams.
- Investigate and propose solutions for issues related to production or MTF transactions.

All About You

Essential knowledge, skills and experience
- You have an Engineering degree in IT or ICT or the equivalent experience.
- You have good operational knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments.
- You are a team player, have a strong sense of initiative and are flexible in accepting and executing new ways of working.
- You are able to increase your autonomy in your daily tasks.
- You have good communication skills in English (both verbally as written), like to interact with Customers and other teams and are Customer driven with a keen eye for high quality.
- You are creative, result-oriented and you can demonstrate hands-on problem-solving skills.
- You are willing to work outside normal business hours during a short period to support Customer test sessions in AP, MEA and US regions.

Desirable or additional capabilities
- Working experience in a similar function, in the Mobile Payments or Telecommunications Industry or Banks is an advantage.
- Experience with one or more scripting methods (Shell, Perl, Python and PHP) or working knowledge of XML and APIs is an added value..
- You are experienced with or capable of quickly gaining operational knowledge of these protocols: FTP, HTML over HTTPs, SOAP, REST, mutual TLS/SSL encryption, VPN IPSEC, xml
