Website Development Engineer

The WebOps Team builds and maintains the public Datadog websites. We use Hugo/Astro, AWS, GCP, Gitlab, Terraform, Serverless, and of course Datadog itself. We ensure that our public facing assets are always fast, correct, and available. As a member of this team, you will work closely with people from every department in the company to build and deliver services and sites that are the voice of Datadog.

As an Engineer on the WebOps Platform Team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify and build out automated solutions and functionality to help us scale. The platform team is responsible for maintaining the backend systems and services that are critical to supporting our content and publishing workflows as well as ensuring that our builds, websites, and integrated services are all operating reliably and easy to use.

**What You'll Do**:

- Creating infrastructure as code for our cloud resources using Terraform
- Back-end development using Node.JS, Python, Go, and more
- Ensure our build and deployment pipelines are operating efficiently
- Help to Improve security practices and governance within the team
- Frontend development supporting the replatforming of sites to newer technologies

**Who you are**:

- You are experienced with frontend and backend languages, including: HTML, CSS, Typescript/Javascript/NodeJS, Python
- You have approximately 2-4 years of web development, working on a large, public website
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab and GitHub Actions and working in cloud environments, AWS and GCP
- You have a good grasp on content-delivery, caching, SSR vs static rendering and other web related technical concepts
- You are fanatical about details: code style, exact rendering, performance
- Bonus points: you have experience with Hugo, Astro, DatoCMS or other similar technologies
