**Your Role**
**Purpose of the Role**:
Symrise Pet Food’s Nutrition business line is committed to pioneering innovative solutions that meet evolving market demands in pet food and animal feed.

The Global Technical Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging market insights with technical development, ensuring strategic alignment across global and regional teams. This role is instrumental in shaping the nutrition portfolio, supporting product deployment, and driving technical excellence across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**From Market Insights to Product Development & Innovation**
- Build and manage a robust operating model to translate market insights into technical development projects
- Consolidate regional feedback into a global overview to guide innovation
- Collaborate and challenge global marketing and R&D to prioritize and activate development initiatives
- Support value proposition creation for new products

**Strategic Portfolio Development**
- In close collaboration with our global product manager, identify portfolio gaps and opportunities aligned with Symrise’s technical capabilities
- Explore external innovation opportunities in circular agriculture, side stream valorization, and biotechnology
- Provide technical input on M&A opportunities and support technical assessments
- Align with leadership teams on long-term strategic planning for the nutrition portfolio

**Global Technical Leadership in Product Deployment**
- Act as the global technical reference for product deployment in pet food and animal feed
- Strengthen customer relationships across all segments
- Coach regional teams in technical customer interactions
- Lead formulation consultations internally and externally
- Serve as a strategic link between technical development and commercial success

**About You**
**Profile**:

- **Background**:Food/Agro engineering (spe. feed ideally) or related field
- **Experience**:Around 10 years in B2B nutrition (pet food and animal feed), with a proven track record in portfolio development and cross-functional collaboration
- **Technical Expertise**: Deep understanding of feed and pet food formulation practices
- **Commercial Acumen**: Strong exposure to sales & marketing; ability to translate technical insights into commercial value
- **Soft Skills**:

- Project-oriented mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication
- Creative and proactive approach
- Persuasive and confident decision-maker
- **Language**: Fluent English mandatory, additional languages are a plus
- **Mobility**: Willingness to travel internationally when required (20-25%)
