The WELA L&H Junior Reserving Actuary will support the various activities of the WELA (Western Europe and Latin America) L&H Reserving team.

You will report directly to the WELA Head of L&H Reserving for SCOR. You will work closely with the other Finance functions as well as the other actuarial teams in the Group.

Operational activities

You will:

- Participate to the production of the IFRS17, Solvency II and French GAAP reserves for the WELA scope including the production of appropriate sensitivities and analysis of changes,
- Analyse the metrics (BEL, PVFCF, CSM), explain the changes and participate to the reporting in the consolidation tools,
- Analyse and check the quality of the portfolio data to update the cash flows projections with the actuarial seriatim models,
- Produce the appropriate and auditable controls, reconciliations and documentation with respect to all reserving processes,
- Support the development or improvement of the models and related calculation,
- Participate to the external audits in relation to WELA reserving topics,
- Collaborate with Global Actuarial Center and Group Actuarial to perform reserves reviews,
- Work closely with the other Finance teams and provide the reserving support for the quarterly closings,
- Produce the overall actuarial narrative to support the Business Performance teams, contribute to the quarterly landings,
- Participate to the interactions between WELA Reserving, Pricing, Technical Accounting, Business Unit, Inforce management and Operations teams.

**Required experience & competencies**
- A first experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry would be preferable
- Excellent knowledge of Microsolft package
- Good knowledge of at least one coding language (R, Python,etc.)
- Experience using Prophet would be well appreciated
- Curious, motivated and proactive,
- Rigorous and committed to meeting deadlines
- Advanced technical skills
- Excellent communication skills (Oral and written)
- Able to work in a team in an international context

**Required Education**
- Junior Qualified Actuary or equivalent
