**We are looking for**:

- Developing new water based technologies for the metal surface treatment (steel, aluminum, etc ) prior painting process.
- Implementing, following and enforcing Environment, Health and Safety guidelines (EHS) for all activities and compliance with roles for proper housekeeping, common equipment maintenance, etc.
- Assuring the implementation of R&I projects in alignment with global business strategy.
- Providing customer and business support on commercial product range.
- Managing innovation projects independently and planning day-to-day activities.
- Carrying out assigned projects Ensuring traceability and repeatability of the experiment results. Implement digital transformation plan.
- Ensuring the performance in terms of innovation, scientific/technical quality, relevance, competitiveness of our technologies and/or the technical solutions proposed, while respecting deadlines.

**We count on you for**:

- Contributing to the development of technical skills (identifying new equipment that would improve the quality / efficiency of the R&I team, identifying new relevant training, congresses, labs in academia to collaborate with)
- Working in a multidisciplinary team (R&D, Business, customers, industrial, product stewardship, legal ) to make successful business cases.
- Timely and accurate customer communication on performance, quality, homologation, technical support. Managing at least 1 technician and interns

- Participating into the sustainability transformation of transportation industry: electrification, lightweighting, low energy processes, phasing out of toxic chemicals, improved durability

**You will bring**:

- Your expertise as PhD in material science (inorganic surface modification, corrosion mechanisms, paint adhesion mechanisms on inorganic surfaces, adhesion mechanisms in general)
- A knowledge in Metalworking Fluids (emulsions, neat oils), Metal Cleaning Fluids, Coatings (powders, e-coats, water-borne paints) and Adhesives would truly be an advantage.
- Your solving problem mindset
- Knowledge on data management and data visualization is a plus.
