Patent Analyst for Process

**Your role**

The patent analyst feeds Global R&D and technical departments with strategic analysis based on existing patents and scientific articles to support technology driven decisions.

The patent analysts work in close relationship with the patent engineers and with the researchers of the Group to support patentability and freedom of exploitation studies.

We are looking for a patent analyst who will be in charge of participating to technology intelligence studies for Process Upstream portfolio with the following responsibilities:

- Performing patent prior art searches before patent filings and as a support to freedom of exploitation studies
- Tracking information on competitors / technologies on the Internet and publication of wekkly newsletters
- Creating patent landscapes and customized databases
- Drafting state of the art synthesis reports

In the frame of these activities, you will be working in close relationship with the patent attorneys and with the researchers of the Group.

**Your profile**
- You hold a Masters' degree or an Engineering degree in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science, advantageously complemented by a Master 2 in Technological Watch and Innovation.
- Professional experience in similar domain would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of monitoring tools (Orbit, STN, Intellixir, Digimind..), and ability to search for information in databases and on the internet are required.
- You are advanced in English and in French.
- You are a good team player, autonomous, open minded with good inter-personal, analysis and organizational skills.
