**Job description**

Within the Food & Beverage division of Ecolab France, we are looking for a new Technical Excellence Specialist to support the Food & Protein market. The local team provides solutions to the Food & Beverage manufacturers in France in relation with hygiene to help them addressing the biggest challenges and supporting the achievement of their targets. The role of the Technical Excellence Specialist is to support the sales by acting as the technical expert for the promotion of our brand and our products on the French market: carrying out audits, recommending good hygiene practices, finding innovative cleaning solutions, problem solving and bringing added value to the customer through technical advice and support. The Technical Excellence Specialist will provide geographic coverage for the whole of France and can be based anywhere with good transportation links.

You, as Technical Excellence Specialist, will be part of the European Technical Excellence Team for Food & Protein.

You will play an important role in supporting our customers in doing what they are good at, producing safe food, by being more knowledgeable of their needs, developing solutions and executing innovation initiatives.
You will have a direct link to the French sales organisation which you will support at our customers.
You will report to the Technical Excellence Manager Food & Protein Europe

**What you will do**:
As the Technical Excellence Specialist, you will provide support in the following ways:
Field Support - Troubleshooting customer cleaning and hygiene and related problems, including food product quality and microbial safety concerns. This position includes necessary travel, anticipated to be 30%, to deliver on-site field technical support and consultation to employees and customers.

Phone Support - Provide effective, accurate, courteous, and prompt consultation and routine phone technical service to both internal colleagues, and external customers with commitment to follow-up and resolution.

You will always have the support of your colleagues within the Technical Excellence team.

You will promote the Ecolab Culture - Safety is our priority, maintain a positive outlook, team spirit and overall represents the Ecolab Culture in a positive manner to the industry.

**We are looking for a**:

- Team player who strengthens us with his, or her own identity
- Analytical and problem-solving strengths
- Someone with affinity to the Food & Beverage market, preferably Food & Protein segment
- Availability for travel (90% of your time in France), nights away from home

**You have the following skills**:

- You have a 5-year degree or equivalent in the field of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology or Food Processing.
- You preferably have 5 to 10 years' experience in the Food or Protein industry.
- You have a solid knowledge of basic chemistry and microbiology
- You have a pronounced taste for the field and are process and problem oriented. Your taste for challenge, your interpersonal skills, your autonomy and your organization will be your assets to succeed in this position.
- You have good writing and reporting skills.
- Your English is good - written and spoken
- You have a Driving license
