**Department**:
This role sits within the EMEA Digital & Technology Services (DTS) practice at Alvarez and Marsal. DTS revolves around a full-service Digital offering spanning Strategy, Customer Experience, Technology and Data. Our positioning is at the intersection of strategy and execution (not slides and then gone, nor fingers on keyboards coding & testing or detailed customer journey designing), architecting the destination, orchestrating the delivery and navigating the change & transformation journey.

Through our DTS practice, Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) helps clients ideate, incubate, and industrialise new business models including agile target operating models, customer and product innovations, or intelligent and automated back offices leveraging a mix of capabilities ranging from digital product management, customer experience (CX) service design, data and analytics, and self-service platforms. Working directly with client management, A&M's involvement reassures all stakeholders that the company is taking important steps to address key market opportunities or challenges and maximise the value of its business and technology investments moving forward.

Our Business Technology function within DTS work with Private Equity funds, Corporates and Financial Services clients across France & Europe to:

- Realign the performance of the technology / IT function through operational restructuring to directly improve the earnings and cashflow within the business;
- Carry out effective technology and product due diligence pre-deal and provide necessary post deal services (Post Merger Integration, Separation, Carve-Out, 100-day planning);
- Shape and deliver enterprise-wide systems and online programs to deliver performance improvement via business transformation and/or cost reduction outcomes;
- Manage and develop technology (ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence assets and systems) to meet strategic and operational business requirements. This would include development of KPI’s and dashboards to provide better visibility to the underlying business;
- Design and implement Digital Transformation initiatives in Data Science and Analytics, Digital Workforce and Artificial Intelligence;
- Take interim management positions for example (and depending on experience) CIO, CTO, IT Director, Program Manager etc.

**Purpose of this Business Technology (Senior) Associate role**:
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a ‘hands on’ Business Technology team. You will contribute to work streams on large programs but also smaller projects, leveraging your Digital & Technology knowhow and skill set in challenging the status quo and developing sound solutions either from an external point of view or in collaborative settings with your client organization.

Alongside out broader EMEA DTS team colleagues and against a backdrop of unprecedented growth and promotions, an opportunity exists for us to strengthen our Business Technology team in London at the (Senior) Associate level in order to contribute to a growing and highly experienced Senior Management team. The successful appointee will play a key part in both project delivery and continued business development.

**Responsibilities at Associate/Senior Associate level**:
As a (Senior) Associate, you will be working closely with world class colleagues in a flat team structure. You will be positioned and enabled to lead work streams, with constant exposure to CTO’s/CIO’s and -1/-2 reports, while leveraging the full breadth of senior experts across industry and functional domains across A&M. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate on a range of practice development efforts. These range from eminence building and marketing to amplify A&M’s perspective on digital disruptions and trends specific to each industry, to business development and asset building in the form of PoVs, pitches, offerings, models, and collateral co-created with an ecosystem of external partners and advisors.

You will specifically support the delivery of Business Technology projects within the French region and wider EMEA, where identifying disruptive transformation levers and managing political complexity will be key to generate significant and sustainable savings. Responsibilities will not be limited to:

- Successfully deliver major projects in such areas as; Pre-deal due diligence, Post deal Integration and Carve outs, Strategic IT planning; Product Technology; Enterprise Architecture; Business Intelligence; Target Operating Model Design; Customer Management Platforms; IT Transformation programmes; Enterprise Resource Planning; IT Supplier Performance Management; Global IT Sourcing; Business Process Outsourcing and Digital Disruption;
- Be an action-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial flair;
- Have a strong exposure to senior clients and be able to deal with top executives in complex situation;
