**The Accounts Payable Lead**

Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and train accounts payable staff
- Oversee the daily processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Ensure all payments are processed on time and according to company policies
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor statements and accounts
- Manage the weekly check run and electronic payments
- Monitor and manage the AP inbox to address vendor inquiries and internal requests promptly
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Negotiate payment terms and schedules with vendors as needed
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the accounts payable function
- Collaborate in the procurement creation process
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive mindset and curiosity
- Ability to adapt in a multicultural environment
- Fluent in verbal and written English/French

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an international company.
- Startup or scaleup environment preferred
