**What you will learn and contribute to**

Our teams are dedicated to conducting advanced research to solve the technical challenges of our industry. We explore boundaries that go beyond business needs, to generate intellectual property in emerging areas by identifying and solving these critical challenges with a multidisciplinary approach that is the hallmark of Bell Labs.

In our team near Paris, our interns will have the opportunity of working side-by-side with industry-leading researchers, who will advise and challenge them. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and to shape future wireless solutions by working in a group with worldwide cooperation.

Globally, in these internship, your missions will be to:

- Conduct a selected bibliographical review (patents, IEEE articles, 3gpp TDocs, etc.)
- Propose/optimize and develop new solution(s) for novel next-generation transceiver.
- Implement the proposed solutions in the simulator and validate/Assess the proposed concepts using analytical approach and simulations.
- Identify and analyze different tradeoffs compared to state-of-art.
- Ultimately identify possible 3GPP standard impacts with the integration of proposed solutions.

The results of this work may lead to publications in flagship conferences and/or journals as well as the filing of patents. You will work in a stimulating and international environment with a strong innovation culture. Competitive salary is offered with the possibility of extending the work in the framework of a Ph. D. thesis.

**Your skills and experience**

Must have:

- Some experience of AI/ML
- Some knowledge of the complete physical layer transceiver chain, wireless communications, advanced digital communications, and signal processing.
- Strong mathematical background.
- Strong experience with MATLAB and Linux.
- Sense of autonomy and responsibilities, analytical and synthesis skills, fast learner, priority management, teamwork, curiosity, enthusiastic, and communicative (professional English is required).

It would be nice if you also had:

- Familiarity with 5G-NR physical layer (waveforms, physical channels, reference signals, etc.).
