The Application Support Engineer has the following responsibilities:

- Finding permanent (or sustainable) solutions, or workarounds to incidents;
- If applicable, creating problem reports and / or change requests and linking them to incidents;
- Describing the solutions and confirming whether they will eventually lead to restoring service operations;
- Creating specific input required for incident reviews to be conducted by the customer, as well as continuous Knowledge Management (KM) feeds related to incidents.
- Participating in standby/ on-call duty.
- Corrective and evolutionary maintenance

Mandatory technical skills:

- Java : development language
- Spring Boot : micro-services framework
- Distributed Systems
- gRPC

Non-technical skills:

- Working knowledge of ITIL framework
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Capability to absorb new information quickly
- Ability to work under pressure (time, workload, customer)
- Demonstrated supportive attitude towards the customer with strong SLA focus
- Very good organizational skills:

- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks as well as maintain the work schedule for other co-workers
- Structured way of working
- Well-bred social behaviour

Mandatory
- Availability for EU Secret PSC is required for the function.
- Available for work in shifts (additional info below).
