Eu Csb Logistics Manager

**Description**

The EU CSB Logistics Manager ensures an optimal flow of merchandise and provides innovative and differentiating logistics solutions to facilitate sales and achieve customer satisfaction at optimized cost.

This position will manage all outbound logistics for 8 manufacturing sites and 1 Distribution Center in Europe and the imports of finished goods from outside of Europe. The scope of work includes transportation, warehousing, and customs. EU Composites Logistics Manager manages a budget of 30MM€ (transportation + warehousing), has 1 direct report and reports to EU Supply Chain Leader.

**Responsibilities**

1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
- Understand and support the EHS standards and holds self and others responsible to them.
- Actively engages internally (sites) and externally (logistics service providers, material suppliers and customers) on improving EHS&S performance related to Transportation.
- Ensure all incidents and accidents related to transportation are investigated and action plans are in place to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure Owens Corning is compliant with all existing regulatory requirements for the movement of goods and ensures we remain aware of impending new legislation that could affect business operations.

**2. Logistics strategy & processes**
- Define and implement the strategic vision for EU Composites transportation & warehousing. Provide leadership for site logistics team members and other stakeholders to meet the needs of the customer while supporting financial goals and objectives.
- Maintain deep understanding of transportation trends, drivers or legislations evolution to adapt/evolve, as appropriate, transportation strategies (sourcing, economical gains...).
- Support business execution with advanced solutions for logistics challenges relative to sustainability, circular economy, reverse logistics, digitalization
- Develop/maintain high contact level with key suppliers to make sure Owens Corning requirements are understood/matched and engage them to propose differentiated high value logistics solution to meet Customers’ requirements.

**3. Management of European Logistics**
- Working closely with relevant stakeholders (plant logistics, customer service, tax, trade compliance, carriers and 3PL’s) plan, organize, manage all warehousing and transport activities and projects (including for news businesses, new flows) in order to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations of merchandise and documentation from the factory to the warehouse and from the warehouse to the customer to minimize cost and maximize customer service.
- Ensure SOX compliance in all activity related to logistics & transportation.
- Provide support to plant logistics in management of complaints.
- Provide visibility on logistics performance (service/costs) and propose corrective actions in case of deviation.
- Owner of delivery performance, ensure an optimal selection of logistics partners, in collaboration with sourcing.
- Working closely with Sourcing, prepare yearly transport budget and participate in bidding processes.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive network optimization, costs reduction and improved service in collaboration with other stakeholders and functions of the Company.

**4. Organizational Efficiencies / Process Improvements**
- Work closely with other regional and global transportation leaders to develop standards, processes, and metrics. Be the Transportation process owner for EU Composites.
- Ensure continuous improvement & best practices sharing between EU Composites sites. Define and maintain with sites carrier performance measurement systems and implement corrective actions as required.
- Lead systems / tools improvement programs to drive efficiency improvement in our transport & warehouse activities

**5. Leading and Developing Talent**
- Lead, grow and provide directions to EU Composites Logistics Specialist but also to sites logistics specialists in EU Composites locations.

Job Requirements

**Education and experience**:

- Graduated in Transport & Logistics Management. Education in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- 5 + years’ experience in an international supply chain and logistics role in a comparable industry. International experience is preferred
