**Objectives and Responsibilities**
- The Technical manager will work closely within a Client Service Centre composed of other fellow Yacht Managers and Account Managers and be responsible for overseeing the day to day technical requirements, handle insurance claims, perform ISM/ISPS/MLC Internal Audits on behalf of the Company, maintain yacht’s Class & Flag certification, attend onboard Class & Flag surveys and handle refits as and when appropriate for an allocated fleet of managed yachts.

**Qualifications & Skills Required**:

- Must possess an internationally recognized marine engineering, naval architecture or mechanical engineering qualification at degree level and preferably accredited by RINA, IMAREST or similar institute. Equally comparable seagoing STCW Qualification and experience in an engineering capacity, preferable as Y3 or STCW equivalent Engineer or greater.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a shore side superintendent or in a similar technical yacht management role.
- Additional experience working aboard a yacht or ship as Chief Engineer, and/or other industry related engineering experience is required.
- Excellent knowledge of Classification, Flag, ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, Passenger Yacht or Large Yacht Code requirements.
- Internal Auditor Certificate ( and CSO also preferred but not essential)
- Experience in managing Maintenance Budgets
- Valid Driver’s license
- Current Passport
- Language Requirements: English (Fluent verbal and written)
- (French, German, Italian, Spanish) beneficial, but not essential.
- Organised, ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to tight deadlines at a high standard, flexible and able to react when necessary to last minute changes, excellent yachting knowledge, relationship manager, plan ahead and view crisis’ before they develop, smart dress code, ability to travel when required. Excellent report writing skills essential;
- Diligent, accurate, proactive, energetic, a team player and confident communicator with ability to handle stress. Available to work out of hours when needed.
- High organizational skills required with proficiency in/with MS Office Suite, database navigation, and social media. All equipment provided

**Technical Support and Administration**
- Technical Management of a fleet of Superyachts.
- Provide Continuous support in the event of systems failure, spares and emergency response team coordination,
- Provide general technical and commercial advice and guidance,
- Yacht Budget review, monitoring and management thereof, focused on planned maintenance and refit expenditure.
- Handle Yacht Insurance Claims of a technical and physical damage nature.
- Provide regular, periodical technical reports to management and owners,
- Liaise with Yacht Managers for the smooth running of the yachts.
- Assistance to other departments (e.g. accounts with accounting returns, budgets, fund requests, invoicing approvals. Owner Reports).
