We currently have the following opportunity available - please contact us for more details DESCRIPTION The Software Support Specialist is expected to be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customers. Software Support Specialists must demonstrate the commitment, "passion" and willingness to develop their knowledge in order to progress in terms of skills and to be able to reach the level of expertise expected of the Support Specialist. RESPONSIBILITIES - Answering telephone calls from customers seeking product support - Resolve product-related issues in a real clinical environment - Prioritise activities to ensure that clinical system downtime issues receive immediate attention - Document all support activities in accordance with Elekta policies and procedures - Resolve and/or escalate cases as required - Attend internal and external training as required. Demonstrate knowledge and skills gained from training. - Visit customer sites to investigate and resolve product issues - Prioritise and manage cases in an effective and professional manner - Communicate with customers to understand the problem, locate the root cause and resolve it effectively to achieve a rapid solution - Clearly explain to the customer the steps required to diagnose and resolve the problem so that they are fully aware of the implications and timescales - Escalate information and seek advice and assistance where necessary to ensure that all problems are satisfactorily managed in a timely manner - Ensure that all interested parties are aware of ongoing or escalating issues, progress and plans in place - Ensure that the client is fully aware of the implications of any work undertaken before it begins - Document and have the work validated by the client before leaving the site or closing the file - Regularly and continuously attend training on new products or features - Develop local first level training for Customer Service Engineers to increase local software expertise - Be the person responsible for customer satisfaction with Elekta software products and be proactive in suggesting ways to improve RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES - Network and security engineer or equivalent (must be enrolled and accepted in a Master's degree in Networks and Telecommunications, Systems and Network Administration or Cybersecurity) - Knowledge of computers (PC/networks) - Knowledge of IS operations and Systems & Network Administration - Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with an excellent sense of reactivity and priorities - Ability to identify training needs and pass them on to management if required - Fluent in English and French - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues - Ability to work in a team - Ability to adapt, be self-reliant and proactive - Ability and willingness to promote Elekta's professional image - Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills - Experience in medical imaging, linear accelerators and/or clinical use of radiotherapy products (preferred).
