General Description:

Under the direction of the General Manager and member of the local Leadership Team, the Director, Corporate Affairs  is responsible to develop & execute locally the Corporate Affairs strategy.

This role involves developing and implementing communications, patient advocacy and public affairs strategies that support business growth. It focuses on protecting and enhancing BeOne's reputation, building a patient advocacy network in relevant therapeutic areas, and engaging with policymakers and trade associations in France in alignment with strategic goals.

He/she ensures compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures, as well as with the ethics for corporate affairs activities. 

Essential Functions of the job:

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and with the European and Global Corporate Affairs team:

  • Ensure compliance across all areas to maintain the highest standards of patients focused ethical conduct in line with our values.

  • Consistently ensure operating in accordance with BeOne´s Standards of conduct and all applicable local laws and regulations.

  • Partner with and provide direction to external agency partners and vendors, as needed.

  • Manage and plan the expense budget.

  • Track, monitor and report on strategy and tactical results.

Communication internal and external

  • Building a positive BeOne image/brand and awareness for our company and our products in the hemato-oncology market.

  • Develop communications strategies and resources to support business priorities, including but not limited to narratives, messaging, media and corporate materials, , social media content, etc in compliance with the French Public Health Code, and the current French Promotional Activities Charter and its Guidance.

  • Support employee engagement and internal communications through regular communications and celebration of key milestones; support leaders in change management.

  • Equip and train leaders to engage stakeholders with confidence and credibility; elevate GM visibility and establish as a go-to-voice in oncology

Public/Government Affairs

  • Develop and implement public affairs strategies to position BeOne as a leading oncology company and increase awareness of our therapeutic areas in France.

  • Position BeOne and build stable and trusted relationships with governments officials, trade associations and policy influencers with a particular focus on oncology and hematology.

  • Steering the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and programs with the above stakeholders.

Patient advocacy

  • Develop and implement locally the patient advocacy strategy in compliance with the French Public Health Code, local guidances and BeOne's policies.

  • Position BeOne and build relationships with local patient groups in hematology/oncology and manage partnerships.

  • Amplify patient's voice and partnership with patient organizations with the ultimate goal to enable patient access.

  • Co-create surround sound campaigns to amplify disease awareness, accelerate access across media and digital platforms.

  • Champion and stimulate colleague engagement in patient driven activities and community events.

Compliance with applicable regulations

  • In compliance with BeOne's procedures, report to the company without delay any adverse reaction, quality complaint or off label use of which he/she is aware. 

  • With the exception of his regulatory obligations, strictly respect the professional secrecy towards patients and do not reveal anything seen or  

  • heard in the places where the activity is performed. 

  • In accordance with BeOne's guidelines, comply with the rules relating to the benefits offered by persons manufacturing or marketing health products and with the rules relating to the management of personal data.

  • Respect of any applicable local laws and regulations like the French health law and the Reps Charter (and applicable Referential).

  • Respect the applicable Company values and procedures, and especially the deontologic rules and compliance rules.

  • Regularly attend and success regulatory, products and disease trainings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.

  • 15+ years of qualified work experience in Healthcare Communication, with responsibilities and/or exposure in advocacy/public affairs roles.

  • Hands on in operations and strategic.

  • Very good knowledge of the pharmaceutical framework and applicable regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

  • Collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of the haemato-oncology market is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the traditional media landscape and its intersection with paid, social, and owned.

  • Experience interacting with and providing appropriate communications counsel and support to senior leaders.

  • Flexible team player with the ability to act quickly and meet deadlines with the highest ethical and business standards.

  • Entrepreneurial problem solver who can juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines.

  • Attention to detail, adept at grasping the big picture, and skilled at connecting all the dots in between.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Innovative and creative.

  • Good computer skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Standard Computer Skills required (MS Office).

Other Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both verbal and written English and the country language; any other major European language of advantage.

Travel:

  • Approximately 20% of time.

Working modality:

  • Hybrid - Paris Office.
