Program & Operations Intern

The Tech Diplomacy Global Institute (TDGI) is a global policy institute advancing tech diplomacy at the intersection of technology, international relations, and global governance. Headquartered in Paris, TDGI works with governments, multilateral institutions, academia, and the private sector to build diplomatic capacity for emerging technologies.

We are now seeking a
Program & Operations Intern

to support the launch and delivery of our flagship capacity building initiative, the
Tech Ambassador Global Executive Program (TAGEP)

, and to contribute to TDGI's broader community growth and operations.

This is a hands-on, trainee-style role with direct exposure to the Executive Leadership and Supervisory Board members.

About the role

This internship is designed for someone who thrives in dynamic, international environments and enjoys coordinating across stakeholders, time zones, and workstreams. You will work closely with the CEO and report to the COO and CIO.

The role is remote, with potential travel linked to program delivery.

Key program milestones include:

• Cape Town, starting 27 April
• San Francisco, starting 28 May
• Paris (UNESCO Headquarters), starting 2 July

What you will work on

You will contribute across program delivery, operations, and community engagement, including:

• Coordinating delegate logistics across international program modules
• Supporting speaker outreach and stakeholder mapping
• Assisting with partnerships, pipeline tracking, and CRM updates
• Supporting communications, including social media and community updates
• Assisting with light data work, coordination, and documentation
• Supporting internal and external meeting coordination with senior stakeholders

Who we are looking for

Minimum requirement:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as international relations, public policy, law, business, communications, technology, or related areas

Helpful but not required:

• Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, WordPress, or basic CRM systems
• Prior exposure to international organizations, events, policy, or research environments

Practical details

• Duration: 3 to 6 months, aligned with the inaugural program cycle
• Location: Remote, globally based
• Working hours: preferably working within ±3 hours of the GMT time zone
• Time commitment: Flexible, with higher availability during program periods
• Compensation: This is a non-remunerated internship

• Travel: Travel, accommodation, and meals are covered when travel is required

• Future opportunities: Strong performers may be considered for extended roles or future opportunities within TDGI
