French Live Experience Host (French Teacher / Tutor)Remote | Contract | Easelang Easelang is building an interactive language-learning platform around a simple idea: Learn → Practise → Speak. We’re looking for an engaging French teacher, tutor, creator or presenter to become a French Live Experience Host for Easelang. This is not a traditional prerecorded-course or lecture-style teaching role. You’ll lead interactive online French experiences, help learners start speaking with confidence, bring practical French to life through real-world situations, and introduce learners naturally to the wider Easelang learning experience. What you’ll doYou’ll host approximately 2-hour live French challenges for primarily beginner and early-stage learners. During each event, you will:
• welcome and engage learners live on camera;
• teach practical French through interactive challenges;
• help learners practise pronunciation and simple conversations;
• run scenarios such as introductions, cafés, travel and asking for help;
• invite learners to participate and speak live;
• adapt activities for different confidence levels;
• keep nervous beginners comfortable and involved;
• add useful cultural context where relevant;
• introduce Easelang’s French course naturally near the end of the session;
• answer learner questions;
• introduce your Easelang profile for learners interested in paid 1:1 practice. You will not need to create a full curriculum from scratch. Easelang provides the structured course, event framework, product information and host playbook, while giving you room to bring your own personality and teaching style. Who we’re looking forYou should have:
• native or bilingual-level French fluency;
• strong spoken English;
• a warm, clear and engaging communication style;
• confidence speaking live on camera;
• the ability to explain French simply to beginners;
• an interactive teaching style rather than a lecture-heavy approach;
• the ability to manage learners with different confidence levels;
• patience, positive energy and strong improvisation skills;
• reliable internet, microphone and camera;
• confidence recommending a product you genuinely understand and believe is useful. Previous experience as a French teacher, tutor, conversation coach, creator, presenter or trainer is valuable, but formal qualifications are not the main criterion. We care most about your ability to engage people, make beginners comfortable speaking, and create an enjoyable live experience. This role may suit you if you...
Enjoy turning lessons into conversations. Know how to encourage beginners without making mistakes feel uncomfortable. Can adapt when learners ask unexpected questions. Enjoy being on camera and interacting with groups. Can recommend the next learning step naturally without sounding like an aggressive salesperson. Would like to build an ongoing audience of learners rather than teach one isolated webinar. CompensationFor each completed live event: $50 guaranteed event fee plus 15% commission on qualifying Easelang French course sales attributed to your event. For example, if a course is sold for $40: Your commission = $6 per qualifying sale. You may also be listed as a Polyglot on Easelang, allowing learners to book paid 1:1 French practice sessions with you. Current proposed 1:1 split: 85% to the Language Host / 15% to Easelang. This is intended to be an ongoing partnership, with opportunities to host future events and build your learner audience as Easelang grows. Before you applyPlease spend a few minutes getting familiar with Easelang. Search Easelang on the web and on the Google Play Store and explore the French learning experience. You do not need to complete the course. We simply want you to understand how learners move from: Learn → Practise → Speak and how the live experience complements the structured Easelang curriculum. Candidates who understand the product will be in a much stronger position during the audition. Selection processShortlisted applicants will be invited to a short online audition. 1. Five-minute live teaching challengeImagine you are live with a group of Easelang learners. Some know no French at all, while others know a little. In five minutes, get us actively participating and teach us enough French to successfully order something in a café. We are interested in how you engage, explain, encourage participation and adapt, not how much content you can cover. 2. Three-minute Easelang continuation challengeImagine we enjoyed your session and want to continue improving our French. Based on what you learned about Easelang, explain naturally how you would recommend that we continue learning through the Easelang French course. We are not looking for a memorized sales pitch. We want to see whether you understand Easelang and can connect your live teaching naturally to the learner’s next step. We’ll be evaluatingCommunication, energy, clarity, beginner friendliness, camera presence, interaction, improvisation, adaptability, teaching ability, understanding of Easelang, and your ability to recommend the next step naturally. You do not need to prepare a formal presentation. About EaselangEaselang is a language-learning platform combining structured learning, practice and real conversations with language hosts.
