The position is based in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
As a member of the Innovation and Development team, the Active Ingredient Specialist will select and test new active ingredients, manage product claims testing, and ensure the brand's product efficacy for skincare, haircare, and makeup. You will handle projects ranging from simple to complex, involving raw materials vendor identification, marketing briefs analysis, and technical solutions selection suitable for formulations and claims testing.
Your role will leverage your technical expertise, skin physiology knowledge, and project management skills. Strong collaboration with internal teams (Marketing, Formula Development, Regulatory, Purchasing, Planning) and external partners (vendors, manufacturers, testing labs) is crucial. Success measures include timely launches, quality, capacity, cost, and strong claims delivery.

Collaborating with Marketing and Formula Development on briefs, ensuring technical and financial viability, and advising on formula performance. Working with Purchasing to meet cost and margin targets. Supporting marketing concepts scientifically, providing proof for active ingredients. Identifying efficacious molecules, assessing technical dossiers, and performing tests to ensure compliance with regulations. Creating technical dossiers and supporting Marketing with technical differentiation and storytelling. Managing claims to ensure business impact and defining test protocols with Regulatory. Managing ingredient samples, timelines, reporting development status, identifying mitigation plans, and monitoring the testing budget. Conducting technical watch and competition analysis on new actives and testing methods.
