Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.


Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in France and are currently looking for a Business Development Manager.


What will you help with


  • Market analysis and continuous research of greenfield and brownfield opportunities, as well as applicable regulations
  • Negotiation of agreements with potential local partners
  • Participating in the renewable energy tenders organized by the Commission de Régulation de l'Energie (CRE)
  • Communication with Public Administration staff for the processing of permits
  • Interacting with planning authorities
  • Preparing, managing and reporting on budget and timing to achieve the targets
  • Be responsible for greenfield projects by developing them so to reach ready to build status
  • Responsible for permit and planning process including overseeing Environmental Ecological surveyors, internal technical team
  • Build local networks and identify leads/project opportunities (in collaboration with local partners/scouts)
  • Ensure securing land rights


Who you are


  • From 3 to 5 years solar project development and prospection.
  • Solid experience with solar projects - preferably greenfield development
  • Experienced in drafting agreements (Letter of Intent, Land Lease Agreement, etc.)
  • Experienced in stakeholder management
  • Experienced in calculations / financial models with excellent financial understanding
  • Results-oriented and independent
  • Master’s degree engineering or business school
  • Experienced MS Office user - and especially Excel
  • Speaks and writes fluent in English. Spanish is a plus
