Customer Service RepresentativeLocation: Fully on-site in Lyon, FranceCompany: A Global Medical Device CompanyContract: A 2-month contract initially with the possibility of extensionPurpose of the RoleThe Customer Operations Representative is responsible for managing a portfolio of instruments on behalf of clients. This includes planning, organizing, and coordinating required service interventions—both within and outside of contractual agreements—and ensuring accurate invoicing for non-contracted services. The role may be performed on-site at the customer’s location or remotely, with a strong emphasis on meeting quality, safety, and timeline objectives to ensure optimal equipment performance and high levels of customer satisfaction.Reporting LineLine Manager: Customer Operations ManagerInternal CollaborationWorks closely with Service Technicians/Engineers, QHSE site contacts, Regional Managers, and Service Provider Managers as neededCoordinates with off-site or client-specific support teamsEngages with Sales and Purchasing departmentsExternal CollaborationRequests and manages quotes from service providersOrganizes and oversees service interventionsMaintains clear communication with clientsKey ActivitiesIn alignment with client requests, contractual obligations, and QHSE standards:Participate in gathering client requirements during contract renewal cyclesProcess service requests and coordinate appropriate responsesSource supplier bids and place necessary ordersSchedule preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesPlan and manage instrument validation servicesHost or remotely coordinate service provider visits to client sitesEnsure invoicing for services outside contractual scopeDocument all interventions in accordance with quality standards and business practicesUpdate internal databases and client records as agreedProvide necessary documentation for accurate service invoicing (e.g., work order closures, quote submissions)Support clients through regular follow-ups and responsive communication via meetings, email, and phoneResponsibilities and ScopeAdhere to all QHSE regulationsEnsure services meet quality, cost, and timeline targets within contractual termsMaintain accurate administrative records for all servicesKeep clients informed of service progressGuide client requests when necessaryRepresent the company professionally on-siteRecommend improvements to processes and proceduresRequired Knowledge ahNeed to have some previous experience or knowledge in a lab environment, ideally with a customer service focusFluency in FrenchProfessional-level English (spoken and written)Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience in customer service rolesFamiliarity with ERP systemsHave a full driving licenseStrong customer service and relationship management skillsThe ability to start within the next month
