Reporting to the Global Operations & Logistics Director, the primary responsibilities of this position are supporting GMR’s Olympic Partner client accounts in managing local market aspects of Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games hospitality and experiential programs. Including, but not limited to, vendor and venue sourcing and contracting, local market and cultural expertise, site inspection support, local temporary staff recruitment and retention, and onsite operations and execution. The Global Event Operations Manager may also support other elements of clients’ Olympic sponsorship as it evolves to support the broader GMR team.

**YOUR IMPACT //**
- Serve as day-to-day local market contact for key French stakeholders and vendors
- Organizing Committee document review and information sharing
- Local procurement support - local vendor research and contracting, exhibits
- Building local procurement informational resources
- Local procurement research and sourcing
- Support procurement timelines as the link between US and local teams
- Support various elements of program planning including hotels, venues, food and beverage, décor, entertainment, transportation, cultural activities, entertainment, local staffing, equipment, etc.
- Collaborate and work across multiple support services and client account teams
- Assist client account teams and executive teams to with information to build program budgets
- Manage vendor relationships as needed
- Support for local and US-based finance processes
- Site visit prep and hosting
- Client specific needs in market; support request by US based Account Teams
- Contractual Agreement tracking support
- Maintain trackers and databases for all local staff recruitment and hiring
- Local staffing retention and training plan - Additional / new
- COVID Support
- Basic translation as required for the teams
- Support in building out logistics / operational and procedural materials

**WHAT WE NEED //**
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, additional education in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Tourism or Hospitality Management a plus
- 3 - 5 years of experience in event or logistics management
- Previous Olympic or large scale event management experience is preferred
- Fluency in French and English mandatory
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills - remains calm under pressure
- Experience vetting and hiring vendors and/or staff
- Strong written and verbal English and French communication skills
- Strong work ethic - collaborative team player who is proactive and driven, works well on a team and independently
- Passionate and motivated with a positive attitude - solutions oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of local Paris customs, traditions, practices, landscapes highly preferred

**TRAVEL //**

Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule which may include extended work hours during nights, weekends, and holidays.
