As a Matelot at Les Bateaux Belmond, you'll embark on a thrilling journey through the heart of France's waterways. Your role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our luxurious vessels, providing a seamless and unforgettable experience for our guests. Seasonal position from April to October 2025.

Mandatory Induction week from March 24th, 2025.

**Primary Responsibilities Include**:

- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat on a daily basis
- Working as a team with the Pilot and assist him especially during navigation, work towards common goals and objectives, ensuring that everyone is working towards the same outcome.
- Ensuring that all boat equipment are maintained in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues
- Actively seek feedback and support from the Pilot to improve your performance.
- Contributing to our sustainability efforts, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and avoid waste of resources.

**Requirements**:
**What You Bring**:

- Strong interest in the river navigation environment
- Hold appropriate certifications or licenses to practice as a Matelot such as "Homme de Pont" training and livret de service
- Friendly and approachable attitude; ability to communication clearly, listen attentively, and work well within a team
- Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
- French and English language proficiency
