As a Pilot at Belmond, you will be responsible for navigating a luxurious vessel through the scenic waterways of France. Your expertise and skill will ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, as you guide them through unforgettable journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Navigate daily according to the transmitted route
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat on a daily basis, using biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products to minimize environmental impact
- Work as a team with the Matelot, share your knowledge and experience with the Matelot, helping them to develop their skills and grow professionally
- Ensure that all boat equipment are maintained in good working order and report any maintenance issues
Requirements:
- Certificat de capacité de conduite de bateau de commerce mandatory
- Ability to cruise on Canals and Rivers, such as Canal du Centre, Saône, Canal de Bourgogne, Rhône
- Friendly and approachable attitude, ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, and work well within a team
- Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment
- French and English language proficiency
