**About the role**:
You will help manage merchandise licensing programs across EMEA with a focus on sales, marketing, and administration. As an Associate, you will communicate select franchise licensing strategy to licensees, retailers, and other partners and ensure all activity and brand representation maximizes revenue and the franchise's DNA.

Your contribution to the team will help our goals of driving revenue, engaging fans, extending and protecting our brands, and being the partner of choice for IP owners in Japan.

In the role of Associate Licensing Manager, EMEA, you will report to the Director of Licensing, EMEA.

**About You**:

- Licensing and business development background in consumer products, including experience generating and increasing revenue and long-term value.
- 2 or more years of experience in entertainment-oriented consumer products
- A global thinker with an understanding of consumer markets in general and the entertainment business in specific.
- Team player who can work with peers and colleagues
- Excellent French and English skills (spoken and written) and another European language. Japanese language proficiency is a huge plus.
- An appreciation for anime and its fandom.
- An understanding of Japanese culture.
- Experience reviewing and optimising license commercial terms.
- Experience delivering important business presentations including business reviews, franchise strategy plans, and pitch decks.
- Have an eye for IP licensing opportunities and a gut for entertainment properties and merchandise/product potential

**About the Team**:
The Consumer Products team is a part of the 360 experience Crunchyroll provides to its fans. We focus on extending the anime brands Crunchyroll represents into physical products and location-based experiences that surprise and delight our fans.

We are multi-faceted, and we manage all aspects of sales, design, product development, account management, contract management, and compliance with other Crunchyroll teams and IP owners.

**A day in the life of our Licensing Associate of Consumer Products**:

- **Support the Licensing Managers driving the Business** - assessing new licensing product opportunities and partners, anticipating roadblocks, and taking measures to address them. Negotiate and review business terms and contracts. Help develop licensing strategies and plans (target industries, categories, products, and licensees) for multiple categories and multiple properties and manage main licensees. Assist and oversee Licensing documents such as licensee lists, pitch materials, assets. Participate and implement marketing activations and retail-facing programs.
- **Reporting** - Ensure that reports are received from licensees and that all requested information is being provided. Assist the Sales Manager and team with the compilation of data for internal reporting, including sell-thru, placement, and royalty revenue.
- **Insuring Partner Compliance** - Collaborate with content partners and our teams to approve product design, production, and promotion for products under license. Monitor existing partners to ensure active development, product development, marketing dates, revenue targets, and overall contract compliance.
- **Collaborate with Legal -** responsible for licensing contracts and proper accounting of revenue with Legal and Finance teams.
- **Plan Events and Trade Shows **- participate and help plan and attendance of annual Licensing Summits, Licensing Show, Toy Fair, and other trade shows and events. Ensure visibility of our licensed products during trade shows and Crunchyroll events.
