The Recruitment Manager will work closely with the German and Regional Practice Group Leads, EMEA Business Managers, recruitment coordinators, and Center-based services to deliver a first-class recruitment experience to Fee Earner and Early Careers candidates (across practice groups) and Hiring Managers.

The successful candidate will own full life-cycle recruitment (internal and external) to fill vacancies, drawing on regional and global resources while delivering significant hiring volumes through hands-on, direct sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Fee Earner & Intern Recruitment

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for Fee Earners and Interns, working directly with Local Practice Group Heads — from direct sourcing and go-to-market strategy through application management, shortlisting, interviewing, offer management, and pre-onboarding, ensuring a seamless handover to Talent colleagues
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Hiring Coordinator, building a high-performance culture

Early Careers & Employer Branding

  • Design and deliver the Paris recruitment marketing, attraction, and media strategy, including the graduate attraction plan
  • Manage the Early Careers events programme (university and school career days, job fairs, school/university partnerships)
  • Oversee the internship application and selection process, from preselection through offers and onboarding
  • Manage employer branding and digital strategy for the local market, ensuring alignment with the global brand
  • Support interns throughout the employee lifecycle, proactively leading on related HR matters

Stakeholder & Strategic Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with practice group leadership, underpinned by deep knowledge of the French and Moroccan legal recruitment markets; act as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain a consistently strong, diverse, and inclusive talent pipeline of active and passive candidates
  • Partner closely with practice group leadership and in-market Talent teams to drive best-in-class, joined-up recruitment
  • Work with the Regional Director and Associate Director of Recruitment to refine and implement recruitment strategy and best practice across the Paris and Casablanca offices
  • Deliver timely, accurate reporting on recruitment activity, using data to track performance and FTE headcount

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive creative sourcing strategies that reduce reliance on agencies
  • Champion ID&E principles, ensuring inclusive practices throughout the recruitment process
  • Manage vendor relationships in line with preferred supplier strategy, ensuring performance and value
  • Uphold the Firm's brand and deliver a world-class candidate experience at every stage
  • Ensure full compliance with Hiring Committee and budget approval processes
  • Develop new, creative approaches to recruiting and employer branding, and contribute to process optimization projects
  • Drive the ongoing implementation, development, and improvement of Avature for Paris and Casablanca

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience running strategic recruitment within a complex, global professional services organization — ideally a law firm
  • Extensive experience delivering Fee Earner and Early Careers recruitment within the French legal market
  • Strong track record in direct sourcing and delivering high-quality, diverse talent
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with a track record of earning trusted advisor status among senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work at pace, solve problems, and deliver under pressure and tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, including senior and executive stakeholders
  • Sound judgement and empathy in sensitive situations
