Your job is to build strong relationships with past and potential customers, uncover upcoming lighting needs, and drive sales by either quoting the project yourself or working with our quoting team to deliver value-engineered solutions.This is a remote sales role with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone with a background in lighting or electrical sales who enjoys being proactive, building rapport with contractors, and staying hands-on in the sales process.Key ResponsibilitiesRe-engage dormant or infrequent customers and re-establish RelightDepot as a trusted partner.Own the relationship with assigned contractor accounts, act as their go-to lighting partner.Uncover active or upcoming lighting projects (new construction, renovations, service, tenant improvements, etc.).Quote lighting packages directly when feasible or collaborate with our internal quoting team for complex VE proposals.Maintain accurate account records, contacts, opportunities, and follow-ups in Zoho CRM.Educate customers on value-engineered options, lead times, and availability to help them win bids or keep projects moving.Track sales progress, follow up consistently, and expand each account's sales potential over time.Collaborate with leadership on target account strategy and opportunity prioritization.Who You AreSales-Oriented: You’re motivated by consultative selling, not just passively taking orders.Lighting Knowledgeable: You understand lighting products or have called on contractors before.Self-Directed: You’re comfortable managing your own pipeline and following up without constant oversight.Organized: You can juggle multiple accounts and projects while keeping everything documented and up to date.Customer-Focused: You build trust, solve problems, and follow through.Requirements1+ year of outbound phone-based sales experience (required)1+ year of experience in the lighting, electrical supply, or construction industry (required)Ability to understand basic lighting specs and match customer needs with product solutionsComfortable using a CRM (Zoho experience is a plus)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAccess to a computer and quiet workspace suitable for phone salesHigh school diploma or equivalentBenefitsHourly base pay: $17–$22/hour depending on experienceCommission on attributable sales (no cap)Flexible hours with part-time or full-time optionsRemote work – work from anywherePaid training to get up to speed on our tools and catalogcheck(event) ; career-website-detail-template-2 => apply(record.id,meta)" mousedown="lyte-button => check(event)" final-style="background-color:#5f7410;border-color:#5f7410;color:white;" final-class="lyte-button lyteBackgroundColorBtn lyteSuccess" lyte-rendered="">Seniority levelSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesWholesale Building MaterialsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at RelightDepot.com by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Business Development Representative” roles.Business Development Executive / ManagerAccount Manager–Nordic Countries (m/f/d)Account Manager ( Digital Marketing/US& Europe clients preferablyBusiness Development Intern (Founding member)We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
