Reclaim Business Manager

Mission The Reclaim Business Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategy to increase the share of recycled raw materials in refractory products in EMEA. This role will lead the reclaim value chain—from sourcing spent materials to processing, qualifying, and integrating them into production—ensuring both technical viability and economic competitiveness. Responsibilities Reclaim Strategy & Roadmap Define and lead the company’s reclaim development strategy, in alignment with sustainability goals and cost optimization targets. Build a multi-year roadmap for increasing reclaimed material usage across product lines (bricks, monolithics, etc.). Supply & Processing Identify and secure sources of used refractory materials (internal and external) and non-refractory materials which could be used as an alternative (ceramic products like insulators or technical tiles, slags or metallurgical by-products etc.). Define quality control and traceability standards for recycled materials. Product & Technical Development Work closely with R&D and Quality to: Validate reclaim materials for use in specific formulations Manage trials and technical evaluations in lab and production Support technical documentation and regulatory compliance (REACH, etc.). Cross-functional Coordination (Partner with) Purchasing (for Supplier Partnerships) Production and Quality (for raw mix changes) Sales and Marketing (to position reclaim as a value lever) Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track and Report Reclaim KPIs (reclaim % in products, cost savings, CO2 impact) Identify bottlenecks and propose continuous improvement actions Requirements 10+ years in refractory, mineral processing, or circular economy industries Strong technical understanding of refractory raw materials and recycling challenges Experience managing cross-functional projects Data-driven mindset with business acumen Nice to Have Knowledge of cement, steel, or glass industries Experience with material reclaim platforms or waste valorisation Familiarity with life cycle analysis (LCA) and sustainability metrics Personal Attributes Entrepreneurial and hands-on Strong communication and influencing skills Passionate about sustainability and innovation #J-18808-Ljbffr
