The Business Development division at SCOR Global Life is dedicated to expanding the company's third-party asset management operations, which includes Sales, Marketing & Communications, and Strategic Distribution Partnerships.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Head of Intermediated Markets. The Senior Manager of International Sales will focus on cultivating SCOR Global Life's institutional client relationships across Northern Europe, specifically in Denmark, the Netherlands, and the Nordic countries. Collaboration with Consultant Relationship Managers in these regions is essential.

Company Overview: SCOR, recognized as the fourth largest reinsurer globally, offers a diverse and innovative array of solutions and services to assist insurance companies in managing and mitigating risk.

Core Competencies Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in the specified market.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Preference for candidates with local knowledge (especially from the Netherlands) and international exposure.
  • High level of technical proficiency.
  • Experience in managing funds or structured product sales.
  • Deep understanding of the regulated pensions market.
  • Strong professional network.

Team Dynamics: A collaborative team player is essential.

Educational Background: A higher education degree is required; CFA or equivalent qualifications are highly regarded.

Language Proficiency: Full proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting and marketing SCOR Global Life and its investment strategies to potential clients.
  • Supporting the enhancement of SCOR Global Life's brand and expanding its customer base in the targeted regions.
  • Promoting SCOR Global Life's product offerings to institutional clients and recommending adaptations of investment vehicles to comply with local regulations.
  • Monitoring Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and preparing responses in collaboration with the Marketing department.
  • Facilitating the onboarding process for new clients in conjunction with the Client Service department.
  • Contributing to the intermediated markets strategy by identifying targets and relevant products, enhancing reach, and monetizing global consultant relationships.
  • Providing insights regarding competition and SCOR Global Life's offerings in the market.

Work Environment: Ideally based in Paris, the Senior Manager of International Sales will collaborate closely with the sales team and investment teams to achieve set goals, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Regular reporting on sales activities will be conducted using the tools employed by SCOR Global Life. This role will also involve close collaboration and guidance to the RFP team within Marketing & Communications.
