Ashland is seeking a Senior Account Manager to lead our Biofunctionals Business Line within our Personal Care business in Italy and Spain. This is a key role within Ashland and the personal care business, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for Biofunctionals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Biofunctionals business and customer interface in Italy and Spain, applying Biofunctionals strategy at the accounts under their responsibility, and delivering the business plan for the assigned territory and accounts. They will also present, promote, and sell products to existing and new customers within a defined territory, identify and deliver new opportunities to grow business in the designated territory, and develop strong partnerships with prospective customers, existing clients, market influencers, and other relevant partners.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science, 3-5 years of sales experience in personal care ingredients, including biological actives, and strong team player, good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, positive attitude, and self-motivated. They will also have negotiation skills, quick issue solver, fluent in Spanish and/or Italian, English, both written and spoken, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel (approx. 50%).
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: good knowledge of the personal care market and customers in Italy and Spain, good knowledge of biological active ingredients, and strong presentation and communication skills.
