Role Overview: The Portfolio Manager / Analyst will be an integral part of the Alternative Credit Origination team, which focuses on tailored securitizations and manages funds aimed at retail clients with complex operational structures, including various investment guidelines and specific liquidity requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate trade ideas through discussions with arranging banks and sponsors, as well as conducting market research.
- Underwrite and structure new investments, including transaction modeling, legal documentation review, negotiation with counterparties, and due diligence.
- Monitor existing investments through quantitative analysis of performance and cash flow forecasts, maintaining regular communication with key stakeholders.
- Manage the portfolio by allocating validated investments, booking new transactions, and validating net asset values.
- Develop and maintain quantitative tools using Python and Excel VBA for various analytical purposes.
- Support business development efforts by preparing case studies and marketing documents for prospective investors.
- Collaborate closely with IT developers to integrate tools into front office systems.
- Work alongside the structuring team on launching or restructuring new investment vehicles.
Your Profile:
Education: A degree from a top engineering or business school with a focus on mathematics, finance, or computer science.
Experience: Previous experience in a banking or asset management environment, with exposure to securitization being a plus.
Skills: Proficiency in Excel and VBA, along with intermediate knowledge of Python.
