As Dailymotion expands its operations, we are eager to strengthen our Partner Solutions Team. You will be instrumental in establishing the foundational elements of our product and developing groundbreaking features in close collaboration with Front Developers, Designers, and Scrum Masters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and nurture a team of Development engineers through effective hiring, constructive feedback, and hands-on career guidance. Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture that prioritizes delivering business value.
- Oversee the workload and project assignments of direct reports while participating in company-wide staffing initiatives. Advocate for agile software development practices and contribute to the evolution of exceptional engineering and organizational standards.
- Collaborate closely with fellow engineering managers and product managers to fully understand incoming requirements, shape solutions, and convert product needs into actionable projects. Regular interaction with engineering managers from related teams will be essential to optimize our use cases and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure timely project delivery by reviewing, directing, and guiding the work of all engineers, either directly or through senior engineers.
- Enhance team productivity by driving the technical vision of the core platform that underpins all our use cases.
- Engage in roadmap definition and delivery, as well as contribute to strategic company decisions.
- Proven experience as a technical manager capable of grasping the intricate details of projects. Previous experience as a manager or team lead, ideally within a development engineering context, is required.
- Ability to challenge and elevate team members: you can critique technical designs and project timelines, promote experimentation, and uphold quality standards.
- Capability to articulate and present a compelling vision/roadmap for your team.
- Demonstrated success as an engineer, comfortable delivering projects even when requirements are vague (testing, delivery, maintenance, refactoring, bug fixing): you possess a systems thinking approach that allows you to see how all components fit together.
- Deliver high-quality, tested code punctually, adhering to industry best practices and meeting all product and technical specifications.
- Ability to collaborate with various business units (product, data) and multiple stakeholders (engineers, infrastructure, product managers, devops, etc.).
- Exhibit a genuine passion for technology by consistently proposing improvements (better code, faster delivery, easier maintenance, etc.).
- Proficient in written and verbal English (documentation, team presentations, meetings).
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Familiarity with web development, web architecture, HTTP, JSON/RPC, REST API.
- Experience with collaborative software engineering methodologies: agile development, continuous delivery, code review/pairing, unit testing, etc.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with modern frontend development frameworks (React/Preact or similar).
- Demonstrated interest in problem-solving and technical innovation.
- Understanding of either Python or PHP.
- Experience with JavaScript SDK development.
- Familiarity with SQL databases (MySQL).
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment testing, and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins) and Docker.
- Interest in clean architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and event-driven architecture.
