Investment Infrastructure Analyst
The analyst will assist in achieving the ongoing objectives of the European infrastructure division by engaging in transaction execution aligned with established risk and return parameters, as well as supporting the post-investment oversight of CDPQ assets across Europe. The analyst will collaborate with directors on various research and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Actively participate in the analysis of investment proposals;Develop and assess comprehensive financial models, emphasizing critical aspects of the investment thesis, including conducting sensitivity analyses, reviewing financial forecasts, and valuation assumptions;Offer insights on the assessment of potential investments utilizing suitable methodologies (DCF, multiples, etc.);Conduct in-depth due diligence on investment prospects;Lead the preparation of authorization documents for new investment opportunities;Support senior colleagues in negotiating business agreements and ownership structures;Prepare internal and external reports regarding portfolio companies;Produce sector analyses on potential target markets for development.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering;A Master's in finance, MBA, or CFA would be advantageous;One (1) to two (2) years of experience in investment, corporate finance, or investment banking; candidates with up to three (3) years of experience will also be considered;Strong expertise in financial analysis and modeling;Advanced proficiency in Office Suite (Excel);Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.Feeling that my role is significant.
