The Alternative Investments Real Assets division focuses on the asset class of Infrastructure, acting as a bridge between Group sponsors and both internal and external asset managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of the Infrastructure Equity Investment Strategy.
  • Prepare detailed analyses and recommendations for senior management and the Group Alternative Investment Committee regarding all aspects of the infrastructure asset class.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of investment proposals for direct equity investments in infrastructure, including both brownfield and greenfield projects across various sectors such as energy, communication, and transport.
  • Identify market opportunities for infrastructure investments that align with the company's Net Zero Carbon goals and broader ESG objectives, particularly in facilitating the energy transition.
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external asset managers.
  • Continuously monitor market trends within the infrastructure asset class to discover additional investment opportunities that complement the activities of the internal manager, ensuring a comprehensive coverage of various infrastructure sub-sectors.
  • Oversee, analyze, and guide the global portfolio within the infrastructure asset class.
  • Support investors and other stakeholders in portfolio management, strategic planning, and implementation.

Key Requirements / Experience / Skills

  • Strong educational background with a university degree in business administration or economics, specializing in finance, investments, or valuation.
  • Significant interest and passion for investments, particularly in alternative investment sectors.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in investment management or asset management, preferably within the renewables, clean energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence on infrastructure investment managers is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and implementation capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong collaborative skills and a team-oriented mindset.
