Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Lyon, France. As a key member of our EMEA sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with key customers and prospects to understand their needs and develop strategic sales plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders and key influencers to stay up-to-date on market trends and technology advancements.
  • Represent Edmund Optics at industry events and conferences to promote our products and services.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing services team to coordinate custom and volume manufacturing opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a hard science.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in the optics/photonics industry.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and German or English and French.
  • Experience with CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding commercial goals.
