We are seeking a seasoned communications expert to take on the role of Senior Communications Manager for France . This position will focus on corporate communications and the transformative effects of our cloud and AI technologies on commercial clients. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in storytelling that intersects societal needs and technological advancements during a time of rapid change.

The successful candidate will engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with global storytelling initiatives and addresses local business requirements. This strategy will emphasize editorial coverage with leading media in France and foster thought leadership that positions Microsoft as a reliable and innovative partner in the digital transformation of businesses and public sector entities.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success in corporate communications and media relations , with at least 10 years of relevant experience. They should demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a blend of strategic insight and execution capability, experience in stakeholder engagement, and a proactive work ethic. A strong interest in the influence of AI on communications is essential. Additionally, a thorough understanding of the digital landscape is crucial for identifying and leveraging opportunities to engage key audiences and serve as an external communications advisor to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communications strategies.
  • Manage media and influencer relationships.
  • Oversee agency collaborations.
  • Handle reputation management, including issues and crisis communications.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for executive and employee communications.
  • Create compelling narratives that showcase how Microsoft is driving industry transformation by assisting organizations of all sizes in becoming more innovative, sustainable, and resilient; support storytelling with impactful customer success stories that emphasize business outcomes and societal benefits.
  • Establish and manage the process for disseminating these stories across earned, owned, and amplified media.
  • Serve as a corporate spokesperson when necessary and ensure a well-prepared pool of spokespeople.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven media relations experience with established connections to French journalists and influencers.
  • Ability to manage corporate and solution-oriented communications, crafting engaging, concise, and credible messaging.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strategic mindset grounded in market insights and business acumen.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Capacity to integrate diverse perspectives and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Experience in issues management and crisis communications.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
