About The Role

The Crowd is partnering with a pioneering architecture practice to find an exceptional Business Development Director. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong business development experience within the architecture industry.

Working full-time from Paris, you will play a crucial part in strengthening existing networks in France and creating new opportunities across Europe. You will collaborate closely with the Founding Principal and other key individuals to generate leads, network, oversee proposals, and develop a growth strategy for France and Europe.

This exciting opportunity calls for a strategic and network-savvy individual who enjoys a collaborative environment and travel. You will be instrumental in elevating an established American firm to new heights of visibility and success across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish key relationships with potential collaborators and clients throughout Europe
  • Lead efforts to identify, secure, and grow new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to meet organisational growth targets
  • Work directly with the Founder to identify speaking opportunities and increase the practice's viability
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities
  • Oversee the creation of compelling proposals, submissions, and presentations
  • Build connections with external parties such as journalists, press, institutions
  • Provide relevant reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate with marketing teams in other offices while managing and developing a local Marketing Coordinator

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a business development strategic or advisory position within the architecture/design industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • A well-established industry network across France/Europe
  • Confidence in networking situations
  • Ability to produce compelling presentations
  • Strategic and commercially minded
  • Personable, approachable, and proactive
  • Presentation and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency advantageous

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 - €100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
