As part of our dynamic team, the Assistant Director of Sales - Leisure will play a crucial role in driving our sales strategy and enhancing our market presence.

**Role Overview**

The Assistant Director of Sales will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting site inspections, familiarization trips, and sales excursions as dictated by business needs and proactive objectives.
  • Promoting and selling all hotel offerings, including accommodations, catering, and event services.
  • Achieving sales targets and fulfilling related responsibilities as outlined by the hotel.
  • Formulating sales strategies and securing approval from the Director of Sales, while nurturing and expanding the customer base within the designated region or sector.
  • Gaining insights into customer requirements through various communication channels, including phone interactions and in-person meetings, to drive sales.
  • Efficiently generating quotes, dispatching contracts to clients, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Guiding clients through the hotel facilities.
  • Utilizing the hotel reservation system for booking accommodations and event spaces.
  • Promptly communicating the team's work orders and ensuring relevant departments are informed.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, maintaining up-to-date customer information, and promptly addressing customer feedback and needs.
  • Recommending other properties within the group to clients as appropriate.
  • Actively gathering market intelligence to share with the Sales team, aiming to identify and convert business opportunities.
  • Facilitating effective communication between the Sales team and hotel Operations through regular meetings and assisting the Banquet Sales or Operations team with event follow-ups.
  • Addressing guest feedback or concerns professionally.
  • Maximizing sales potential at all times and accurately forecasting team and banquet revenue.
  • Providing necessary guidance and oversight to the Sales Director or sales representatives in developing proposals or contracts.
  • Contributing to the development of marketing strategies and collaborating to meet financial objectives.
  • Assisting the Director of Sales in the effective allocation of daily tasks within the Sales team structure.
  • Mentoring the Sales team to ensure high-quality service and product delivery to clients.
  • Leading the Sales team towards achieving departmental objectives.
  • Supporting the Director of Sales in the recruitment, selection, and training of staff to maintain team effectiveness and continuity.
  • Diligently executing assigned tasks and special projects.
**Qualifications**

To excel in this position, candidates should embody the following attributes:

  • A university degree.
  • A strong understanding of the leisure market segment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales or a related field, preferably within a resort environment.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • A deep understanding of international clientele and strong market analysis capabilities.
  • A proven ability to lead by example.
