Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff, delegate duties, and ensure service demands are met.
- Team Management: Lead team members by setting a positive example, promoting a culture of excellence, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Menu Planning and Preparation: Assist the Head Chef in menu preparation, ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain excellent presentation standards, control costs, and ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire F&B Service team to meet Health & Safety regulations and food preparation guidelines.
- Sustainability and Compliance: Monitor and maintain sustainability and compliance standards, ensuring financial performance and control.
- Quality Control: Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality, ensuring consistency and excellence in all culinary operations.
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant trade qualifications and culinary certifications.
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience working as a chef, with relevant experience in the hotel industry.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of food safety requirements, strong product knowledge of menu items and seasonal ingredients, and ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
