Graduate Proposal Engineer & Business Marketing Support in Water Treatment M/F
This graduate role provides a unique and comprehensive learning experience. The program is designed to challenge and enrich your skills, knowledge, and confidence.
As a Proposal Engineer & Business Support Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting our expanding Assets service business.
The successful candidate will engage in a dual capacity—creating innovative designs and proposals for our sustainable mobile water treatment services across Europe, primarily focusing on pure and process water applications in industrial and manufacturing environments, alongside a business support function that involves analyzing and visually presenting operational and financial data, drawing insightful conclusions from various systems, and assisting teams in enhancing productivity through effective digital tool implementation.
This position is ideal for an ambitious, inventive, and inquisitive team player with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. Candidates should possess an academic background in engineering, preferably with knowledge in process or environmental engineering, and a specialization in business development or marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project opportunities from inquiry to order, ensuring ethical integrity and innovative thinking to develop safe and effective water treatment solutions for our clients. Conduct thorough analyses of customer requests and requirements. Develop relevant technical documentation, including process descriptions, flow diagrams, and design calculations. Participate in customer meetings, which may involve travel across Europe. Establish the scope of supply and associated costs, including installation, commissioning, service, consumables, chemicals, labor, third-party supplies, and freight. Identify and mitigate project-related risks, with a strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental protection. Develop proposals with a focus on value proposition. Create engaging documents and presentations in alignment with brand guidelines. Present comprehensive packages to Veolia leadership for review and approval. Engage in data analysis, utilizing tools such as Excel, VBA, and Tableau, to draw valuable insights from complex datasets. Build marketing documents for commercial purposes. Establish a robust internal network of collaborators and demonstrate negotiation skills in customer interactions.Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a business-related field. Interest or experience in business marketing. Strong mathematical skills, with a foundational understanding of report logic and data visualization. Fluency in both French and English (written and verbal) is essential. Previous experience in water and/or wastewater operations, engineering, or bid management is advantageous but not mandatory. Valid driving license. Willingness to travel occasionally within the EU and UK.Personal Attributes:
