Our engineering team is deeply committed to ethical practices, with many members being core contributors to Open Source projects such as CPython, Postgres, and Terraform.
About the Role
Lenstra is currently collaborating with several major corporations to establish their self-service Data Platforms. Our work involves shaping the product vision for the Data Platform while considering our clients' strategic objectives and their existing technological frameworks. We then implement the Data Platform, ensuring its seamless integration with our clients' IT, security, and compliance requirements.
In this context, we are seeking enthusiastic Analytics Engineers to contribute to our projects, including:
- Promoting Analytics Engineering within communities utilizing the Data Platforms we develop.
- Designing and implementing new features on these Data Platforms.
You will have the chance to work with a cutting-edge technology stack, including tools like GitHub Actions, dbt, Terraform, and emerging open-source solutions such as Elementary and Dagster.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams to establish best practices for Analytics Engineering.
- Engage with Analytics Engineering teams to gather their requirements and propose new features for the Data Platform.
- Work alongside our clients' teams to address their business challenges, define successful analytics outcomes, and develop data models accordingly.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data consultants, and other analytics team members to outline the scope and requirements of analytical projects.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and tools in analytics engineering and contribute to enhancing Lenstra's analytics capabilities.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Over 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex and ambiguous challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Extensive experience with dbt or dataform.
- Experience in data modeling, ELT processes, and data warehousing.
- Programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Fluency in English and French.
