Job Description

Gerresheimer is seeking a highly skilled Regional Account Manager to implement a corporate-wide strategy providing a globally coordinated and integrated value proposition, sales and service approach to strategically critical global accounts and increases sales and profits from assigned Key Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creates and leads the implementation of Regional Key Account Plans
  • Leads strategy alignment and governance frequency and organization
  • Proactively expands trusted advisor status at multiple levels and functions within customer organization by building networks
  • Acts as a thought leader with customers to offer new opportunities for competitive advantage
  • Accountable for successful plan implementation (drives local actions, including prospection with full matrix "account teams", pulling from different divisional KAMs in different divisions)
  • Leads the internal matrix account team to explore and win new opportunities across divisions globally in complex customer global organizations, resolves issues that need escalation
  • Coordinates activities of sales people across divisions and facilitates best practice and information sharing
  • Leads business development opportunities mapping
  • Leads contract homogenization
  • Able to develop and manage all types of deals (simple to complex) and effectively communicate them to customers and internally when needed
  • Manages the divisional account directly in the geography where he/she is located, ex PPG Americas
  • Leads, negotiates and closes global deals
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and implementing own sales that are being managed in the division
  • Co-ordinates the roll-up of the TOTAL sales budgets, etc., for that account (divisional KAMs are ultimately responsible for ensuring their budgets and forecasts are implemented successfully)
  • Assesses trends and developments which affect the key account plan and the development of the longer term mission for the business, its objectives and overall strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales/account management experience in the Pharmaceutical market or peripheral industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an International Key Account Manager with prior Profit & Loss responsibility
  • Must have demonstrated track record of account management success
  • Proven ability to establish high dollar value transactions, and bring them through an entire relationship management process from business development, value-proposition, to close and to account maintenance
  • Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated high skill levels of written and verbal communication
  • Excellence in business writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong ability to influence and proven negotiation skills
  • Engineering and/or Operations experience a plus
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry a plus
