Channel Systems Engineer

Overview:
The primary role of the Channel Systems Engineer is to deliver pre-sales technical assistance to Fortinet Channel Partners regarding Fortinet's security offerings and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Channel Account Manager to enhance the technical capabilities and readiness of assigned Fortinet channel partners.
- Drive technical strategies and enablement in close partnership with the Fortinet channel partners' sales teams to meet their commercial objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor for channel partners, demonstrating the business value of Fortinet's solutions alongside Channel Account Managers.
- Provide guidance and training to channel partners to effectively position and sell Fortinet solutions through technical, consultative, and architectural pre-sales support.
- Assist channel partners in achieving necessary Fortinet Certifications by offering technical direction.
- Keep channel partners informed about Fortinet's product, solution, and service offerings, as well as current promotions.
- Conduct in-depth and high-level technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs) for partners.
- Stay updated on the channel partners' business landscape, market challenges, and industry technology trends.
- Collaborate with channel partners to organize training workshops for clients and prospects.
- Support channel partners during their events and seminars.
- Participate in evaluating the technical readiness and progress of channel partners.
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in network and cybersecurity, with a desire to join the channel SE team.
- Experience with SecOps solutions, including EDR, SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intelligence, and Advanced Threat Protection.
- Familiarity with partners and MSSPs, understanding their managed services and capabilities while promoting Fortinet adoption and partner loyalty.
- Passion for delivering business outcomes to channel partners through continuous enablement and relationship-building with technical references from strategic partners.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Preferred candidates should be based in Lyon or Aix-Marseille.
Ideal Candidates Will:
- Possess a strong aptitude for security technology, particularly in encryption and authentication, with additional knowledge in network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN being advantageous. CISSP accreditation is a plus.
- Have experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing all technical aspects of deals through to closure.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and their impact on key wins within their current organization.
- Exhibit the ability to build and maintain customer relationships, effectively communicating technical information to various stakeholders.
- Have a solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
