About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Solutions Engineer to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Digital & Application Innovation group, you will play a critical role in helping organizations build intelligent applications with the best developer experience and productivity on the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical discussions with customers, leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs, using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise to influence customer vision and establish rules of engagement for extended teams.
- Build technology strategy by mapping agreed customer business outcomes into an appropriate Azure technology framework, resolving concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers, and translating technology complexity into business impact.
- Design solutions using technical knowledge, architect skills, and consulting skills to win customer technical decisions and meet customer needs, driving Pilots/Proof of Concepts (PoC) to create momentum for Minimum Viable Product (MVP), infusing AI technologies where appropriate, and being technically proficient to do Proof of Concepts (PoC) with hands-on skills.
- Scale through partner engagement in partner sell-with scenarios to carry out technical engagement activities, facilitating and managing partner resources and processes for Pilot/Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Be the Trusted Advisor and be proactive to find and understand customers' pain points and design and offer technical solutions that align with business cases.
- Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering teams and Global Black Belts to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
- Maintain and grow expertise in developer tools, cloud-native architecture, and technologies, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 6+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience.
- Partners: Experience leveraging partner solutions to solve customer needs and scale opportunities.
- Experience creating cloud migration Proof of Concepts (PoC), Minimum Viable Products (MVP) for customers that lead to production deployments.
- Excellent Communicator: Demonstrates executive presence, presentation skills, deep technical product demo abilities, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior application architects and development leads. Experience in influencing and building relationships across technical and business teams; managing various stakeholder relationships to gain consensus on solution/projects.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
- Competitive Landscape: Knowledge of competitive application development platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Salesforce, etc.
- Works cohesively with customers, the Microsoft account team, and Microsoft partners. Helps others succeed by identifying and promoting innovative solutions and strategies.
- Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
- Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-204) or Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions (Exam AZ-400) and Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900).
- Deep domain knowledge in App Dev services namely Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Services, Azure Container Apps, Azure API Management, GitHub, VS Studio, etc. and App Migration / modernization to PaaS OR hands-on experience working with the respective products at the expert level.
