Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in pumps and fluid handling systems, with a proven track record in sales within the wastewater industry. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and providing technical expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wastewater sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, demonstrating the benefits of our products.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical support to customers during the sales process, including product selection, application, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure customer requirements are met and technical specifications are adhered to.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Account Management:
  • Manage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitable and sustainable business.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Reporting & Administration:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback to management.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the wastewater or pump industry.
  • Strong understanding of pump technologies, fluid dynamics, and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a track record of successful business development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
