As the new Business Strategy Lead for DAZN France, you will play a crucial role in assessing, defining, and ensuring the successful implementation of significant initiatives that cut across various business sectors (such as programming, rights acquisition, subscription services, customer relationship management, and operations). Your extensive responsibilities will involve collaborating with the senior management team in France and engaging with key stakeholders from DAZN's global network. This is a dynamic role that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of sports content consumption.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with the CEO (France) and the Commercial team, as well as functional leaders and central stakeholders, to pinpoint commercial prospects and devise local strategies aligned with DAZN's overarching objectives.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the local market and commercial environment, including broadcasters, OTT providers, platforms, and content partners.
  • Assisting the Commercial team in prioritizing strategic projects that are vital for success. These may include customer engagement initiatives, rights portfolio evaluations, or pricing and packaging strategies.
  • Ensuring that innovative insights with a strategic emphasis are effectively communicated, comprehended, and executed across the France business.
  • Creating robust business cases, key performance indicators, and return on investment analyses for each new strategic initiative undertaken.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance profitability in the region by streamlining processes, eliminating barriers, and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Supporting critical market decisions with sharp analytical skills and comprehensive recommendations that take into account cross-functional implications.
  • Providing assistance for all major strategic initiatives, including broadcast distribution agreements, while managing administrative tasks and ensuring adherence to key timelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive experience in Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, Professional Services, or an In-House Strategy/Corporate Development team.
  • Proven ability to apply strategic analytical skills, including market analysis, scenario planning, go-to-market strategies, and operational feasibility assessments.
  • A strong customer-centric mindset, with a focus on customer metrics such as acquisition, engagement, churn, and settlement.
  • A solution-oriented and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • A proactive attitude and the capability to navigate ambiguous and evolving situations with multiple stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively beyond your immediate team.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic/business acumen.
  • A willingness to listen and experiment with new ideas, adopting a test-and-learn approach.
  • An interest in the sports media and related industries.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A strong ability to synthesize information and present key insights to management within a matrix organizational structure.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration or economics, preferably with a focus on strategy, finance, or business development.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
