Job Title: Regional Head of Business Development

Location: Partially based in the Aimsun office in Paris, combined with remote working and the option of flexible hours.


About the Role:

The Regional Head of Business Development will be responsible for developing and delivering Aimsun's France sales growth. This role is pivotal in delivering Aimsun's commercial goals, and core aspects of the plan will include building strong client and partner relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and managing the sales process for lead generation to project closure.

Aimsun is an international leader in digital mobility solutions for transportation authorities, highway agencies, public transit operators, and consultancies. Our simulation and predictive data analytics help customers to understand transportation network performance, to predict its future evolution, and to support decision making.


Responsibilities:

  • Direct sales and Business Development (BD) activities
  • Developing the market potential for Aimsun Digital Mobility Solutions, focusing on private sectors (transportation, logistics, Smart Cities, etc.)
  • Aimsun's Order Intake in the region
  • Preparing Order Intake, revenue forecasts, and market analysis
  • Developing, maintaining, and executing the approved Regional Business Development Plan
  • Developing and managing strong relationships and high satisfaction with current and potential clients/partners
  • Ensuring Aimsun's sales pipeline and revenue forecasts (Salesforce) are current and accurate
  • Developing and maintaining contact lists and leads records (Salesforce)
  • Overall quality of bids/commercial offers
  • Successful contractual negotiations as required
  • Supporting the Global Head of Business Development in global initiatives
  • Supporting the France Managing Director in regional initiatives
  • Contributing to global forums, workshops, and events (virtual or face-to-face) as required
  • Leading CRM initiatives
  • Facilitating internal investment cases to meet client and market needs
  • Contributing to pre-and post-sales activities, including customer satisfaction surveys, case studies, and client references
  • Manage Business Development assistant with high levels of integrity, as required
  • Maintaining high ethical and moral standards of the Aimsun brand


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering schools
  • A relevant degree, qualification, or experience within ITS / Transportation-related field (this is an advantage)
  • 10+ years of business development experience with proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Experience in the B2B French market (transportation & logistics market)
  • Experience with local public communities (this is an advantage)
  • Sales exposure to new technologies (software/consulting/professional services), ITS solutions, or Aimsun software solutions
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues, and external partners
  • Proficiency in public authority tendering and procurement processes
  • Ability to undertake detailed and accurate analysis of market data and to synthesise and justify strategies and solutions that will be of economic benefit to the company
  • Be highly self-motivated
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong professional and moral ethics
  • Ability to travel to meet customers and to attend trade shows and conferences in France
  • Strong professional and academic network and a solid reputation in the transportation & logistics industry
  • Total professional competence in French and English, written and spoken
