Join Our Team:
As part of the Group Risk Management division, you will contribute to the development of our risk framework. Within this division, the Group Internal Control and Operational Risk team is tasked with ensuring reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of operational, reporting, and compliance objectives.
Your Role:
As the Manager of the Internal Financial Control (IFC) team focused on Solvency 2, you will oversee the effectiveness of our internal control framework related to AXA's Solvency 2 internal model. Reporting to the Group Head of IFC, you will be responsible for the overall IFC Solvency 2 framework and program, as well as supporting and monitoring IFC Solvency 2 activities across relevant entities.
Key Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead the implementation of the IFC Solvency 2 framework at both corporate and entity levels, ensuring adherence to timelines, instructions, and reporting requirements.
- Provide assurance to senior management regarding the quality of controls through independent assessments.
- Act as the primary contact for Chief Risk Officers and management in addressing significant deficiencies and liaising with auditors and regulators.
- Maintain relationships with entities concerning IFC Solvency 2 matters, coordinating with Group Solvency 2 teams and tracking the resolution of deficiencies.
- Support and challenge local IFC teams to enhance their effectiveness.
- Manage the consolidation process for IFC Solvency 2 and prepare various reports and presentations for Group governance bodies.
- Ensure regular communication with external auditors to facilitate the program.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the insurance sector, including its organization, risks, processes, and financial reporting. Familiarity with the Internal Model is advantageous for internal candidates.
- In-depth knowledge of Solvency 2 regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a control function (Audit, Risk Management, Internal Control), preferably within the Insurance or Financial Services sectors.
- Proven experience in managing international and cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated capacity for effective change management.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English, with proficiency in French being a plus.
