Overview:
The Loan & Private Debt division operates within the AXA IM Alts Structured Finance sector, comprising a team of approximately 100 professionals managing assets exceeding €50 billion. This sector focuses on non-traditional fixed income products designed to achieve stable and predictable cash flows.
Team Structure:
The Loans & Private Debt team is strategically located in two major financial hubs, ensuring a collaborative approach with 12 members in one location and 23 in another.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Investment Operations Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Portfolio Management team by:
- Conducting NAV controls for open-ended funds and mandates.
- Reviewing and validating CLO reports along with waterfall payments.
- Monitoring adherence to investment guidelines.
- Overseeing processes and controls managed by external parties.
- Supporting operational aspects of fund lifecycle events, including launches, mergers, liquidations, and dividend distributions.
Business Development:
You will coordinate and implement new operational frameworks for innovative products, collaborating with various stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers, Structuration teams, Product Engineering, Risk Management, and Compliance.
Additionally, you will monitor processes executed by third-party service providers, including Middle Office, Fund Administrators, Corporate Servicers, Transfer Agents, and Trustees.
Participation in RFP responses and the production of relevant reporting will also be part of your responsibilities.
Project Management:
Your role will involve defining new solutions, whether IT-based or operational, aimed at enhancing the monitoring of transactions, holdings, market conditions, and compliance with investment guidelines.
Monitoring:
Daily control of data accuracy in the Front Office tools used for decision-making and investment constraint monitoring will be essential. You will also oversee cash and holdings reconciliation performed by the Middle Office with various custodians and ensure the integrity of portfolio valuation and NAV production.
Reviewing post-trade investment constraints and collaborating with Portfolio Managers to resolve any breaches will be part of your duties.
Reporting:
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and validating reports generated by Trustees on CLOs and assisting the AXA IM reporting team in producing client and regulatory reports. You will escalate any incidents to the Structured Finance risk nominees and the Risk Management team.
Qualifications:
• A graduate degree in Business, Engineering, or a Master’s in Finance.
Experience:
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Middle Office or Front Support roles within the financial services sector.
Skills:
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments and a solid understanding of the Asset Management industry.
• Familiarity with securitization processes.
• Experience with loan asset classes is advantageous.
• Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in VBA and macros preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work autonomously while being a team player.
• Strong adherence to processes.
